I have always been a nerd. Even in elementary school, I always wore my shirts buttoned to the top, despite the weather, and I ALWAYS had to have my shirt tucked into my pants. And though I never had a pair of "taped" glasses or braces, I was quite the geek in school. I even tried to deny my nerd-ness by dressing more stylishly, and by trying un-intellectual activities like exercise and getting sun tans. But over the years I have realized that I am a nerd, through and through, and I am proud of it. As a nerd, I have also realized that I have several talents that are useful to the public. No, not my massive amount of Star-Trek trivia, or my ability to quote lines from all six Star Wars movies. But rather, my abilities with computers.
